Oman and Belarus Explore Agricultural and Water Resource Collaboration

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus have engaged in discussions to explore cooperation opportunities in agriculture, the advancement of modern agricultural technologies, and efficient water resource management.

According to Oman News Agency, the official talks were held between Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, along with his delegation. The session focused on fostering innovation and investment in the agricultural and livestock sectors to enhance added value and boost production efficiency.

The meeting, which took place in Muscat, also reviewed the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Oman and Belarus. Both parties agreed to further develop these ties through future agreements and memoranda of understanding, aiming to expand bilateral cooperation and mutual interests.

The Omani Minister highlighted the significance of collaboration in crucial areas such as agriculture and water resources, expressing Oman's interest in broadening joint efforts to improve agricultural and livestock production, promote sustainability, and strengthen food security systems.

Meanwhile, the Belarusian Foreign Minister commended Oman's comprehensive developmental progress across various sectors under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. He reiterated Belarus's commitment to enhancing its partnership with Oman and supporting its endeavors to achieve food security.
