Muscat: The Omani-Bahraini Economic Forum, orchestrated by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), focused on enhancing joint economic and investment cooperation, while delving into partnership opportunities across multiple sectors.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussions encompassed various sectors, such as construction and real estate, banking and finance, industry and energy, food, telecommunications and technology, retail, health, strategic investments, commercial markets, and transport and logistics services. The forum highlighted the incentives, services, and investment opportunities offered by both Oman and Bahrain to attract investors.
A dialogue session titled “The Reality and Prospects of Economic Integration and Cooperation Between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain” featured discussions from private sector representatives of both nations. The session examined the current economic relations, challenges to integration, and ways to foster partnerships between private sector companies and SMEs, with an emphasis on joint projects leveraging Omani and Bahraini capabilities.
On the sidelines of the forum, bilateral meetings (B2B) were conducted between Omani and Bahraini business owners. These meetings aimed to explore partnership opportunities and facilitate the exchange of experiences.
