Oil Prices Decline Due to Prospects of Increased Russian Diesel Supplies

Tunis:Oil prices fell today following a significant increase of approximately two dollars per barrel in the previous session. Traders are considering the impact of supply risks in the Middle East alongside the potential increase in diesel supplies from Russia.

According to Oman News Agency, Brent crude futures dropped by 61 cents, or 0.57 percent, reaching $106.04 per barrel. Similarly, US West Texas Intermediate crude futures decreased by 47 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $93.27 per barrel.

US President Donald Trump announced that Russia has agreed to supply diesel to global markets. Additionally, his administration has temporarily lifted US sanctions on Russian fuel. This move is expected to help alleviate the global fuel supply shortage, addressing some supply concerns that have recently supported high crude prices.
