Muscat: Oil prices eased in Asia today but held near one-month highs, while traders looked ahead to an OPEC+ meeting over the weekend. Brent crude fell 19 cents, or 0.3%, to $68.95 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate crude dipped 16 cents, or 0.2%, at $65.43 a barrel. The benchmarks settled up more than 1% in the previous session.
According to Oman News Agency, the recent price movements come as the markets anticipate decisions from the OPEC+ meeting, which could influence future oil production levels. The slight dip in prices follows a session where both Brent and US West Texas Intermediate crude saw an increase of more than 1%, reflecting ongoing volatility in the oil markets.
