North Al Batinah Governorate Food Security Forum Focuses on Investment

North al batinah: The North Al Batinah branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today organized a forum centered on investment in the field of food security. Titled “Secure Investment for Sustainable Food”, the forum aimed to promote investment in food security in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

According to Oman News Agency, the forum explored methods to support economic diversification by localizing quality projects based on modern technologies, which enhance in-country value. An exhibition took place on the sidelines of the forum, showcasing the products and services of more than 20 establishments specializing in the food security sector.

Additionally, the forum included sessions focusing on the role of the private sector, civil society institutions, and non-government organizations (NGOs) in supporting food security projects. These sessions also addressed research, innovation, and technology for establishing a sustainable food security system.

The event was held under the patronage of Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and was attended by Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the OCCI Board of Directors, along with government officials, private sector representatives, entrepreneurs, and business owners.
