NCSI Initiates Water Conservation Survey in Oman

Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has launched a public opinion survey focused on water conservation behaviors within residential establishments across the Sultanate of Oman. The survey, conducted in collaboration with Nama Water Services Company, will continue until May 21, 2026.

According to Oman News Agency, the objective of the survey is to examine water conservation habits among urban residents and identify the factors that influence water-saving practices at the household level. This initiative aims to assist in water demand planning and promote the sustainable utilization of water resources.

The survey explores various themes, including individual attitudes towards water conservation and public awareness regarding its significance. It assesses the level of commitment to water-saving practices and examines how the social environment influences these behaviors.

The survey targets a sample of 1,500 Omanis aged 18 and above, selected from different governorates to ensure geographical and demographic representation. This effort underscores the NCSI's commitment to providing decision-makers with reliable data and indicators, while strengthening partnerships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of national water use trends.
