The National Cybersecurity Authority launches its fourth edition of the “National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign” in accordance with World Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of preserving national security, and cybersecurity. The campaign highlights the best practices for protecting against cyber threats, and fosters integration among national entities working in the field of cybersecurity.
According to NCA, the National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign is a part of its continuous efforts to raise awareness on cybersecurity.
It consists of a variety of initiatives, field events, and specialized programs, such as a mobile exhibition to raise cybersecurity awareness among national entities, an interactive exhibition in Riyadh Digital City, awareness sessions for leaders and public sector employees, and issuing comprehensive cybersecurity awareness guidelines.
An “awareness kit” will be provided to over 900 national entities to raise their employees’ a
wareness on cybersecurity.
The campaign will include numerous cybersecurity awareness posts on social media in collaboration with public and private sector entities.
NCA emphasizes that the campaign targets all segments of society, and addresses the critical importance of cybersecurity and its vital role in mitigating emerging cyber risks.
Different topics will be covered during the campaign including social engineering, electronic phishing tactics, tools protecting against cyber threats, and other related subjects.
NCA is the national entity in charge of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and serves as the national authority and reference on its affairs. NCA aims to improve the cybersecurity posture of the Kingdom in order to safeguard its vital interests, national security, critical infrastructures, high-priority sectors, and government services and activities.
