Al Batinah: Activities of the naval drill ‘Sea Lion 1/2025’ began today. It is implemented by the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) in Al Batinah maritime zone, Al Wusta maritime zone and southern region zone.
According to Oman News Agency, the drill is carried out with the support of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and the Royal Oman Police (ROP) Aviation. The exercise, which runs till 2 February, began with a briefing on the drill’s plan presented by Commodore Abdullah Sultan Al Jabri, Director General of Operations and Naval Plans at the RNO.
The execution of this naval drill comes within the framework of the RNO training plans aimed to sustain the level of readiness of its fleet and personnel, in line with the national tasks entrusted to it.
