Muscat: Oman Post has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Denmark’s e-Boks company to establish and operate the National Digital Mailbox in the Sultanate of Oman. This platform will serve as the official and secure channel for communication between government entities, the private sector, and individuals.
According to Oman News Agency, this step supports ongoing digital transformation efforts in Oman, enhances governance and data protection, and contributes to building a more efficient digital economy in line with the objectives outlined in “Oman Vision 2040.”
The service aims to enable individuals and institutions in Oman to obtain a digital mailbox with full reliability and legal recognition, forming a secure platform that adheres to the highest standards of national data protection. The mailbox will streamline the delivery of official correspondence and documents, including bills, contracts, statements, and notifications, replacing multiple channels with a single trusted source through a 24/7 digital channel.
This platform will accelerate the use of government e-services, reduce administrative costs, shorten transaction completion times, and decrease paper consumption, reinforcing Oman’s commitment to sustainability. The collaboration includes knowledge and expertise exchange, as well as building local capacities to enhance the resilience of the digital mailbox, ensure compliance with standards, and prepare it to meet the future demands of Oman’s digital economy.
This strategic agreement between Oman Post and e-Boks sets new regional standards for secure, user-focused digital mail solutions. It represents a significant step forward in advancing digital transformation efforts in Oman, serving both individual and corporate users, enhancing national resilience, and supporting economic diversification initiatives.
