Nama Water Services Company Announces 303 New Jobs

Muscat: Nama Water Services company today announced the conclusion of the third phase of the 'Employment-Linked Training Programme', which seeks to train Omani jobseekers and provide jobs for them in the water and sanitation sector.

According to Oman News Agency, the programme helped generate 303 new employment opportunities at affiliate companies that implement permanent operation and maintenance contracts in 10 governorates under the supervision of Nama Water Services. This raises to 1,188 the number of such jobs made available during the three phases of the programme.

The third phase, in particular, represented a new milestone in the march of the programme. It contributed to raising the percentage of Omanization through operation and maintenance contracts to 90 percent. This affirms the success of the 'Employment-Linked Training Programme', which serves as an integrated model that focuses on attracting national talents, training them and employing them in accordance with the needs of the operation and maintenance sector, to ensure the sustainability of the sector and consolidate its readiness to meet future requirements.

Nama Water Services reiterated that the beneficiaries of the third phase will be appointed at the Nama affiliate companies implementing the permanent operation and maintenance contracts after completing the approved training programmes, after which they will be moved to work sites.
