Music Bands of RAO, RAFO Win Top Places in International Competitions

Scotland: The band of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) has achieved first place in the overall ranking at the Infantry and Military Discipline Competition held in Scotland, United Kingdom. Additionally, the RAO band was recognized as the best band from outside the United Kingdom at the Bridge of Allan Championship in Scotland.

According to Oman News Agency, members of the RAO band also secured advanced positions at the individual level in the baton-bearing competition. Staff Sergeant Nader Jumaan Bait Jabali was awarded second place, while Warrant Officer Mohammed Khamis Al Amri took third place in the third stage of the competitions held in the Scottish town of Bridge of Allan.

In a parallel achievement, the band of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) upheld its prominent record in the bagpipes and drums competition, also held in Bridge of Allan. The RAFO drum team clinched first place among seven international bands participating in the Grade Four category of the World Music Competition.
