Muscat: The Municipal Council of Muscat Governorate held its seventh meeting of the year, chaired by Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat and Chairman of the Council, with the attendance of the Chairman of Muscat Municipality. The meeting discussed several initiatives aimed at monitoring the living standards of residents, identifying their diverse needs, and addressing the social and familial challenges they face.
According to Oman News Agency, the council also reviewed awareness and educational programs and efforts to strengthen partnerships with relevant institutions. Field visits were highlighted as a key component of these efforts, serving as a foundation for conducting a comprehensive social survey that sheds light on the realities of villages and contributes to balanced development.
The council also reviewed a statement from the Ministry of Labour regarding the National Employment Program, commending the efforts of those involved in this strategic initiative. The council emphasized the importance of continuing initiatives that enhance job opportunities and develop national capabilities.
