Muscat:The Main Committee of the Muscat International Book Fair convened to review preparations for the event's 30th edition.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Committee. Key topics included setting the fair's dates, scheduled from March 24 to April 3, 2027, and developing initial program concepts that reflect the fair's role as a cultural and knowledge platform.
The committee also discussed Al Wusta Governorate's role as Guest of Honor, focusing on themes highlighting the governorate's historical, cultural, and economic attributes. Additionally, the theme "Creative Industries" was examined for its cultural, knowledge, and economic implications, aiming to promote cultural and creative industries as vital to development.
Emphasis was placed on ongoing preparatory work and coordination among authorities to meet the fair's cultural objectives and maintain its status as a premier cultural event.
