MSX Index Sees Modest Increase with Trading Value Surge

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "30" index wrapped up today's trading session at 7,393.37 points, marking a gain of 5.7 points, or a 0.08 percent increase from the previous close of 7,387.69 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value experienced a significant rise, climbing to RO 87,262,662, which is a 5.6 percent increase compared to the previous session's RO 82,654,797. Despite the rise in trading value, market capitalization saw a slight decrease of 0.029 percent from the last trading day, settling at approximately RO 36.28 billion, as noted in the official report issued by the MSX.

Non-Omani investors were active in the market, purchasing shares worth RO 9,744,000, which accounted for 11.17 percent of the total trading activity. On the other hand, non-Omani investors' sales reached RO 11,232,000, making up 12.87 percent of the trading. This led to a net decline in non-Omani investment by RO 1,488,000, or 1.71 percent.
