MSX 30 Index Closes with Slight Decrease

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index concluded today’s trading session at 5181.38 points, experiencing a decline of 3 points, or 0.06%, from the last session’s close of 5184.72 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value for the day surged to RO 45,051,702, marking a 16.2% rise in comparison to the previous session’s trading value of RO 38,781,123. The MSX report also noted that the market value experienced a slight decrease of 0.069%, settling at approximately RO 30.46 billion.

In terms of foreign investments, non-Omani investors purchased shares worth RO 2,836,000, accounting for 6.29% of the total trading volume. Meanwhile, foreign investors’ sales amounted to RO 2,391,000, representing 5.31% of the trading volume. This resulted in a net foreign investment increase of RO 445,000, equivalent to 0.99%.
