MSX 30 Index Closes Lower Amid Higher Trading Activity

Muscat: Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX 30) index today closed at 5,081.82 points, dropping 7.2 points, or 0.14%, compared to the last trading session’s close of 5,089.01 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value increased significantly, reaching RO 25,195,480, which marks a 33.5% rise compared to the previous session’s value of RO 18,870,685. The MSX report indicated that the market value experienced a slight increase of 0.105% from the last trading day, reaching approximately RO 29.94 billion.

The report also highlighted the activities of non-Omani investors, noting that the value of shares they purchased amounted to RO 1,156,000, representing 4.59% of the total trading value. Meanwhile, their sales reached RO 1,348,000, or 5.35% of the overall trading value. Consequently, the net investment by non-Omani investors decreased by RO 192,000, or 0.76%.
