Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "MSX 30" index saw an uptick today, closing at 7,295.45 points, marking an increase of 18.25 points or 0.25 percent from its previous close of 7,277.20 points.
According to Oman News Agency, the trading value was RO 42,860,614, reflecting a significant drop of 22.3 percent compared to the earlier session's RO 55,182,726. Despite the decrease in trading value, market capitalization rose by 0.154 percent from the last trading day, reaching approximately RO 37.64 billion.
Non-Omani investors were active in the market, with purchases amounting to RO 4.609 million, which constituted 10.75 percent of the total trading value. Their sales amounted to RO 3.501 million, or 8.17 percent of the trading value. As a result, net non-Omani investment saw an increase of RO 1.108 million, representing a rise of 2.59 percent.
