Ministry of Culture Publishes Four Books on Literature and Arts

Muscat: As part of the outcomes of the ongoing Literary Forum, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth recently published four new books on literature and arts. This initiative aims to enhance the cultural scene, reflecting the diversity of the Omani intellectual repertory.

According to Oman News Agency, the first publication, authored by Dr. Fakhria Al Yahya'ee, explores the contemporary experience of artist Rasheed Abdul-Rahman, providing an in-depth conceptual analysis of the late artist's thinking. The second publication, also by Dr. Fakhria Al Yahya'ee, compiles studies and perspectives on contemporaneity in visual arts, featuring contributions from a select group of researchers and experts. This work is set to become a significant scholarly resource for the Arab academic library.

The third publication is a poetry collection titled "Whispers of Glory" by poet Hilal Al Bahlani. It comprises poems that celebrate national values, express love for the Sultan, and convey emotional sentiments. These works highlight the enduring presence of classical Arabic poetry as a medium for expressing identity and cultural memory. The fourth publication, authored by Nasser Abdullah Al Raisi, is another poetry collection that portrays human and patriotic feelings, evoking various aspects of the Omani cultural landscape.
