“Little Documentary Guide” Program Begins Sixth Edition

Muscat: The National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) launched today the activities of the sixth edition of the "Little Documentary Guide" program. Organized by the Department of Documentary Exhibitions, the program runs until 16 July at the Permanent Exhibition of National Records and Archives.

According to Oman News Agency, the program is part of the Authority's efforts to make productive use of the summer vacation by developing the capabilities of youth and enhancing their awareness of the importance of national documents. This initiative offers a comprehensive training program that includes lectures, practical workshops, and field tours. The aim is to cultivate guiding, communication, and public speaking skills, while also strengthening the values of national identity and belonging among participants.

The program schedule includes introductory visits to the Authority's facilities and hands-on applications in documentary guiding at the Permanent Exhibition. It also features panel discussions with successful young individuals excelling in fields such as Holy Quran memorization, scientific innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital content creation. Additionally, cultural competitions and awareness lectures are part of the program to help refine the participants' skills.

Ahmed Mohammed Al Sabahi, Head of the Exhibition Organization Section at the National Records and Archives Authority, expressed that the program represents the Authority's commitment to investing in the potential of youth. By introducing them to the role of documents in preserving national memory and equipping them with guiding and communication skills, the program aims to prepare a generation that values documents, takes pride in their national identity, and is adept at presenting information in a scientific and engaging manner.
