Muscat: The Ministry of Labour is organizing a two-day workshop aimed at preparing the Vocational Colleges’ Strategic Plan for the period 2026-2030. This event is focused on exploring ways to enhance the overall education and training systems within vocational colleges.
According to Oman News Agency, the workshop is dedicated to improving the standards of graduates, with the goal of cultivating a generation of national cadres who can effectively contribute to the Sultanate of Oman’s comprehensive development.
The workshop is being held under the auspices of Mahmoud Abdullah Al Owaini, Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance. It brings together representatives from military, civil, private, and educational sectors, engaging them in interactive discussion sessions. These sessions are designed to gather insights from various stakeholders to ensure better integration between education, training institutions, and productive sectors.
The Vocational Colleges’ Strategic Plan is considered a crucial element in the development of the vocational education and training system. This plan aims to guide educational policies and unify efforts to produce highly efficient cadres, aligning their skills with the needs of the labour market.
