Integrity Commission: Summon of the Director of Maysan Education Directorate due to the seizure of more than 17 billion dinars

The Federal Integrity Commission revealed that it has seized cases of appropriation of pension payments for breeding staff in Maysan Governorate, the value of which exceeded (17) billion dinars.

The Commission’s Investigation Department stated, “The seizure process, which it carried out according to a judicial memorandum in the Maysan Education Directorate and the Pension Department, managed to seize the documents for the seizure of an amount of (17) billion, (893) million, and (774) thousand dinars for pension contributions of the governorate's education staff.

It explained, "The amounts seized for the governorate's education staff belong to the period from (1/1/2015 to 31/12/2019), as the amounts for this period were not sent to the Pension Department - the State Employees' Pension Fund."

It added, “The competent investigating judge, after reviewing the details of the seized initials recorded in the fundamental control record organized by the office staff, decided to issue summons orders against each of the current Director-General of Education in Maysan Governorate, the director of the Accounts Department, and the employee responsible for organizing the cheques, based on to the provisions of Article (315) of the Penal Code.”
