Information Minister Reviews Developmental Media and Communication in North Al Batinah

North al batinah: Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, today reviewed the developmental media and government communication system in North Al Batinah Governorate. This took place during a meeting held at the office of the Governor of North Al Batinah, attended by Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah.

According to Oman News Agency, the Minister emphasized the importance of the meeting in examining the reality of development in North Al Batinah Governorate. He highlighted that the media acts as a window reflecting the efforts across various sectors, allowing the community to engage with the developmental and service projects being implemented. This, in turn, enhances societal awareness and showcases development achievements.

Dr. Al Harrasi explained the pivotal role of media in supporting the governorates to reach their developmental goals and contributing to the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. He praised the media efforts in North Al Batinah Governorate, describing it as a prominent model in media work. The media's contributions in highlighting developmental achievements support the Ministry of Information's efforts in achieving its goals and mission.

Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, remarked on the meeting's significance in shedding light on the qualitative components and advantages of the governorate that merit further media coverage. This would contribute to enhancing their presence within the community.

The meeting also addressed the current state of news platforms and networks operating in North Al Batinah Governorate, as well as the challenges facing the media sector. Discussions included efforts to develop the sector and enhance its role in supporting development and highlighting national achievements in the governorate.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Hinai, Wali of Sohar, and several officials from the governorate.
