The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in collaboration with the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, unveiled the Riyadh Charter on Artificial Intelligence for the Islamic World. This initiative aims to establish a comprehensive framework for developing artificial intelligence technologies that align with Islamic values and principles while fostering sustainable development and international cooperation in the AI field.
The announcement was made during a session titled “Riyadh Charter on AI for the Islamic World,” as part of the third edition of the Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit). ICESCO Director-General Dr. Salim bin Mohammad Al-Malik highlighted the Charter’s alignment with ICESCO’s strategic objectives, which focus on supporting member states in investing in modern technologies and preparing for the future.
