Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received the credentials of several newly appointed ambassadors to the Sultanate of Oman in a ceremony held at Al Barakah Palace. The event marked a significant diplomatic occasion as ambassadors from various nations presented their credentials separately to His Majesty.
According to Oman News Agency, the ambassadors who presented their credentials were Ahmed Mahmoud Ahmed Al Rowaidhi from the State of Palestine, Majdi Ramadan from the Lebanese Republic, and Wijesinghe Arachchige De Alwis from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Other ambassadors included Noralyn Jubaira Baja from the Republic of the Philippines, Adam Bagoudou Zakari from the Republic of Benin, and Ricardo Silva-Santisteban Benza from the Republic of Peru. Saimir Bala from the Republic of Albania, Jos© Agero Avila from the Republic of Paraguay, Mohamed S. Barrie from the Republic of Sierra Leone, Prof. Muktar Kedir Abdu from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Raymond Sarsero from the Republic of Malta, and Isaac Biruma Sebulime from the Republic of Uganda also presented their credentials.
During their individual meetings with His Majesty, the ambassadors conveyed the greetings and best wishes from their respective countries' leaders. They emphasized their commitment to enhancing the partnership and cooperation between their nations and Oman in various fields, aiming to achieve shared aspirations and mutual interests.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik welcomed the ambassadors warmly, expressing gratitude to their countries' leaders for their greetings and well-wishes. He assured the ambassadors of the support and assistance they would receive from His Majesty, the Government, and the people of Oman to facilitate their diplomatic duties.
The credential presentation ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Foreign Minister, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Head of Royal Protocols, and the Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan.
