Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. 55/2025, designating the ‘Rimal Bausher Development Project’ in the Governorate of Muscat as a public utility project.
According to Oman News Agency, Article (1) of the decree officially recognizes the ‘Rimal Bausher Development Project’ as a public utility project, as specified in the attached memo and diagram. This designation facilitates the project’s development, which is expected to benefit the region significantly.
Article (2) mandates the concerned departments to proceed with the expropriation of lands required for the project. This process will be conducted through direct implementation, adhering to the Public Utility Expropriation Law as outlined in Royal Decree No. 71/2023. The expropriation is aimed at ensuring that the project has the necessary land to proceed without delay.
Article (3) stipulates that the decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will be effective immediately from its date of issuance. This ensures that the legal framework is set in place for the timely execution of the project.
