HM The Sultan Concludes Belgium Visit with Diplomatic Engagements.


Brussels: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed from the Kingdom of Belgium this evening, wrapping up a significant three-day state visit. His Majesty was bid farewell at Brussels Military Airport by Vice Admiral Jan De Beurme, the King’s representative in Belgium, along with Tinne Van der Straeten, Minister of Energy, several Belgian officials, and members of the Omani embassy in Belgium.

According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik extended a heartfelt cable of thanks to King Philippe Leopold Louis Marie and Queen Mathilde Marie Christine Ghislaine of Belgium. In this message, His Majesty expressed his sincere gratitude for the hospitality received and praised the fruitful discussions held with the King. The talks focused on strengthening the friendship between Oman and Belgium and exploring avenues to enhance bilateral relations to benefit both nations.

His Majesty conveyed his best wishes for the continued health and prosperity of the Belgian King and Queen, hoping for fur
ther progress and success for the Belgian people. The visit underscored the mutual interest in fostering closer ties and collaboration in various sectors.

His Majesty was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; Eng. Salim bin Nassir Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and Rua bint Issa Al Zadjali, Ambassador of Oman to Belgium.
