Salalah: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held a fraternal meeting today at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah. During this meeting, the two leaders focused on various topics of mutual interest, aiming to enhance avenues of cooperation and partnership that could drive economic prosperity for both nations. The discussions also included exploring methods to achieve peace and stability in the region, aligning with the aspirations of their peoples for a secure and dignified life.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting saw attendance from prominent figures on both sides. Representing Oman were HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, and HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said. Other notable Omani officials included Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister. The financial and investment sectors were represented by Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, and Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, among others.
From the UAE, the meeting was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Martyrs’ Families Affairs. The Emirati delegation also included key figures such as Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, Dr. Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs, and Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority.
Both delegations were comprehensive, with senior officials from various sectors, indicating the broad scope of discussions aimed at reinforcing bilateral ties and addressing regional challenges.
