Hadatha Center for Cybersecurity Industry Launched in Muscat.

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented by Oman National Computer Emergency Readiness Team (OCERT), in cooperation with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Muscat, launched Hadatha Centre for Cybersecurity Industry. The center was launched as part of the activities of the Regional Cybersecurity Week. According to Oman News Agency, the center was inaugurated in a ceremony held under the patronage of Halima Rashid Al Zari, Chairperson of the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED). The Hadatha Center aims to enhance the outputs of the National Program for Cybersecurity Industry, focusing on knowledge management, ideas, research, and the design of cybersecurity products and services through simulation, modelling, and testing. The center's objectives include achieving compatibility with the Cybersecurity Industry Program in the Sultanate of Oman and promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in cybersec urity and modern technologies. It aims to fulfill the main objectives of the Cybersecurity Industry Program in the Sultanate of Oman. Additionally, the center is envisioned to serve as a focal point between government agencies, the private sector, and academic institutions. The launching ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology and Vice Chancellor of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS).
