Dhofar: Activities of the Gulf Summer Scout Camp for advanced scouts have commenced at the Permanent Scout Camp in Jabal Ashur Plain, located in the Governorate of Dhofar. The event, organized by the Directorate General of Scouts and Guides at the Ministry of Education, is scheduled to run until 9 August 2025 under the theme “Community Partnership: Leadership for Building the Future.”
According to Oman News Agency, the camp brings together 350 scouts and leaders from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, along with participants from other GCC states, totaling eight from each country. The program includes training workshops and specialized scouting courses designed to contribute to the development of a generation capable of better serving the community and the nation.
The camp aims to instill values of good citizenship, foster a sense of responsibility, and encourage the preservation of public property, the environment, and cultural heritage. Additionally, the program seeks to enhance the physical and mental abilities of the scouts and empower them in areas related to sustainable development.
