According to Oman News Agency, a number of Omani players have recently distinguished themselves in Gulf and Arab tournaments, with various national age-group teams achieving notable results. These accomplishments include securing medals in both team and individual events at tournaments held by the GCC, underscoring the technical progress of the sport within the Sultanate of Oman. Fayiz Mohammed Riyadh, Deputy Chairman of Oman Golf Association, highlighted that the association places a high priority on junior development programs by organizing regular training camps and facilitating player participation in external tournaments to gain competitive experience. This is complemented by hosting regional championships that provide opportunities for direct competition with diverse playing styles. He added that modern facilities, including accredited golf courses and indoor training centers, have also played a key role in establishing an ideal year-round training environment. Omani players have demonstrated their capabilities in Gulf competitions across various age categories, achieving positive outcomes that have reinforced the technical staff's confidence in their ability to represent Oman in forthcoming events. He also highlighted a steady increase in girls' participation in golf tournaments, as part of strategic plans to expand women's involvement in the sport and nurture female talent. Taimour Ghalib Al Busaidi, a member of the National Junior Golf Team, affirmed that the advanced placements and medals earned by the age-group teams in recent periods reflect the substantial efforts underway to develop national talent. He indicated that winning gold, silver, and bronze meda ls in Gulf championships demonstrates the advanced technical level attained by both male and female players in Oman and the wider Gulf region. He noted that the achievement of Oman U-13 team in securing top positions at the Gulf Championship for Girls and Age Groups represents a major milestone in the development of golf in Oman, particularly as the championship was hosted by the Sultanate of Oman. This success reflects regional confidence in the organizational and technical capacities of Oman Golf Association. Yousef Azzan Al Rumhi, a member of the National Golf Team, stated that the rising standards achieved by the national teams in various tournaments serve as a powerful incentive to continue development initiatives.
