Salalah: The GCC committee responsible for the pricing of pharmaceutical products commenced its 67th meeting in Salalah, located in the Dhofar Governorate.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, will cover a range of topics outlined in the committee’s agenda. A key focus will be the ‘Draft GCC Guide for Unifying Pharmaceutical Products’ Pricing’, which aims to standardize the pricing structure across GCC member states.
Other significant items on the agenda include discussions on the pricing of various pharmaceutical products, the unification of prices for several innovative medicines, and the consideration of requests to review the export prices of certain products. The meeting will also address informing other countries about approvals received from companies concerning the pricing that is anticipated to be endorsed by GCC states.
The gathering will see participation from specialists, representatives from GCC member states, and members of the GCC Health Council.
