Muscat: The Advisory Board of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) today held a preparatory meeting in Muscat to coordinate participation in the seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7), scheduled to take place in the Republic of Kenya during 8-12 December 2025.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting saw the participation of representatives from GCC member states and the General Secretariat. It was organized by the Environment Authority in its capacity as the President of the Assembly’s seventh session. The aim was to formulate a unified GCC stance to enhance the region’s effective role in international environmental forums.
