Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received Dr. Aniko Raisz, State Secretary for Environmental Affairs at the Ministry of Energy of Hungary, in a meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussions centered on collaboration in water resources management, climate change, pollution control, and waste recycling. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening connectivity through expertise and knowledge exchange programs and cooperation in international environmental forums. They also explored reviving several joint initiatives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability.
The dialogue extended to the friendship and cooperation between Oman and Hungary across political, economic, and cultural fields. The officials praised the current level of coordination, acknowledging the achievements realized and the growing alignment of policies and directions between the two countries.
In attendance were Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qatbi, Head of the International Organizations Department at the Foreign Ministry, and several other officials from both sides.
