Muscat: The Ministry of Finance today issued Financial Circular No. (1/2025) instructing all ministries, units, public authorities, institutions, and government companies to award government tenders for supplies, implementation of works, and provision of services valued at RO 25,000 or less to small and medium enterprises whose owners possess a Riyada card.
According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry of Finance has emphasized the necessity of coordination with the Follow-up Committee of the National Local Content System to address challenges related to the awarding of tenders. Additionally, the Ministry highlighted the importance of continuous monitoring by internal audit units within ministries, government units, public authorities, institutions, and government companies to ensure adherence to this directive. The circular also underlined the requirement to comply with the provisions and rules outlined in the relevant systems and laws.
