Riyadh: The Secretary General of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal), Mansour Al-Shammari, met today with the Head of the Counter Terrorism Network for Asia and Oceania, Chris Felton, and his accompanying delegation in Riyadh.
During the meeting at Etidal’s headquarters, both sides discussed cooperation. Felton received a comprehensive overview of Etidal’s strategies in monitoring and combating extremist content, as well as the center’s efforts to mitigate this content’s impact on society.
The meeting also highlighted Etidal’s societal initiatives and international partnerships.
Furthermore, the visiting delegation was briefed on the collaboration between Etidal and Telegram in the fight against extremist content. Through their joint efforts over the course of three years, more than 75 million pieces of extremist content have been removed.
