Environment Vice Minister Launches ‘Namaa AI’ Service and Oversees Signing of Three MoUs

Vice Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Al Mushaiti launched the “Namaa AI” service today, aimed at delivering proactive services and providing smart, easy-to-use digital communication channels for beneficiaries. The service leverages artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance the user experience and streamline digital interactions.

The announcement took place on the second day of the Global AI Summit (Gain Summit) in Riyadh.

Namaa AI is focused on applying AI to offer more innovative ways to manage and analyze complaints, assist farmers in addressing agricultural pests, and improve overall beneficiary satisfaction through proactive and efficient digital communication channels. The service also aims to raise awareness and provide knowledge more effectively.

Al Mushaiti also witnessed the signing of three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with leading companies in information technology and AI, furthering the ministry’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation,
which aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

One of the MoUs was signed with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to foster knowledge-sharing in digital transformation, exchange AI expertise and data, and promote the adoption of emerging technologies to support innovative solutions.

Another MoU was signed with the Saudi Company for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, to promote AI technologies in the environment, water, and agriculture sectors. The agreement focuses on AI adoption, extensive data analysis, and the development of AI models to support the ministry’s digital transformation initiatives.

The third MoU was signed with LeapAI, a company specializing in IT services and consulting. The goal is to advance the ministry’s digital excellence projects by integrating modern AI technologies into decision-making processes and enhancing the capabilities of the ministry’s digital platforms.

These agreements aim to create an environment that supports technological innovation and
AI adoption in line with the ministry’s goals for digital transformation.
