New York: The US dollar today declined against other currencies in early trading. The dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of currencies, fell to 98.12, continuing its decline of more than 0.5% in the previous session.
According to Oman News Agency, the risk-sensitive Australian dollar saw an increase, last trading 0.5% higher at $0.6493. Similarly, the New Zealand dollar rose 0.55% to $0.6009. The US currency also experienced a 0.47% decline against the Japanese yen, reaching 145.45.
The euro appreciated by 0.23% to $1.1605, while the British pound advanced 0.27% to $1.3564. These movements in the currency market reflect a broader trend of strengthening global currencies against the US dollar.
