Gaza: Doctors Without Borders/M©decins Sans Fronti¨res (MSF) reported that Palestinians in Gaza continue to endure severe hardship, facing dire living conditions and insufficient aid a month after a fragile ceasefire was established. The organization highlighted that Palestinians are still being killed and injured by Israeli forces almost daily in areas near the yellow line, which remains under Israeli control.
According to Oman News Agency, MSF emergency coordinator in Gaza, Caroline Seguin, stated that Palestinians often risk their lives returning to their homes, as the boundary is not always clearly defined. She emphasized that several main hospitals are located in areas controlled by Israeli forces, complicating safe access to healthcare. Seguin also pointed out the significant restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities on the entry of aid into Gaza, with MSF and other organizations facing challenges in delivering essential resources like medical equipment, shelters, hygiene items, and spare parts for critical infrastructure.
Seguin further noted the plight of thousands of displaced individuals living in tents without water and electricity, surrounded by waste and disease outbreaks as winter approaches. MSF has called for the immediate and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
