Defence Ministry’s 16th Cultural Competition Concludes with Royal Army of Oman Triumph

Muscat: The 16th Cultural Competition for the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan's Armed Forces for the year 2026, featuring 16 distinct fields, concluded today. Organized by the Moral Guidance and Military Protocols at the Sultan's Armed Forces Command, the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education. The competition saw the Royal Army of Oman clinching the top position, followed by the Royal Court Affairs in second place, and the Sultan's Special Force securing third place.

According to Oman News Agency, the event also witnessed the launch of an electronic website for the "Jund Oman" magazine by the Moral Guidance and Military Protocols at the Sultan's Armed Forces Command. Furthermore, a visual presentation was showcased about the "Al Sumood Radio" of the Sultan's Armed Forces, which emphasized the radio's audio identity.

The Minister of Education, serving as the chief guest, accompanied attendees on a tour of the exhibition that highlighted the winning and participating artistic works from the competition. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prizes by the chief guest to the winners of various categories in the competition.
