The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has invited public and private entities, interested parties, and technology sector experts to participate in the 2nd edition of the “SDG Digital GameChangers Award” competition, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The competition provides global recognition for the positive impact of digital technologies that support sustainable development goals.
The award features five categories: Empowering lives and communities; Innovation for climate and environment; Promoting economic growth; Building peaceful and inclusive societies; and Pioneers – Unlocking ideas from youth between the ages of 18 and 29.
The competition is open to public and private entities, academics, and young people. The finalists will be announced on September 1 and the winners will be informed and awarded during the SDG Digital event on September 20 at the UN headquarters in New York City.
