Nizwa: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is continuing work on the design and implementation of a road serving the Oman Agriculture Development Company in the Wilayat of Nizwa, A'Dakhiliyah Governorate. The road spans approximately 4.5 kilometers, with a completion rate reaching 17.32 percent and a total cost of RO 1,076,800.
According to Oman News Agency, Eng. Kholoud Khalid Al Farsi, Project Manager at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, explained that the project involves the design and construction of a single-lane road starting from the service road of the Nizwa-Thumrait highway in the Wilayat of Manah, opposite Oman Across Ages Museum, and ending at the Oman Agriculture Development Company. She noted that the project will facilitate vehicle movement and contribute to increased commercial activity. She added that the duration for the design and implementation of the project is seven months, in addition to 60 days for mobilization, totaling 270 days.
The Project Manager emphasized that the implementation of this road will contribute to increasing the commercial activity of the Oman Agriculture Development factory, enhance economic movement, support social development in the area, improve traffic safety on the current route, and upgrade the road network. Al Farsi further indicated that the construction of the road serving the Company is part of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology's ongoing plan to develop and raise the efficiency of the road network across various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. She clarified that the project represents a qualitative addition to the infrastructure of A'Dakhiliyah Governorate due to its impact on enhancing traffic flow and contributing to the growth of commercial activities.
