Bahrain national athletics team bagged six medals on the first day of the 15th Arab Games, being held in Oran, Algeria.
Bontu Robitu, Marta Yota and Dawit Fikadu outclassed their opponents, bagging three gold medals repectively in 5000 metre race (women), 1500 m (men) and 10,000 m (men).
Mahmoud Abdulrahman clinched the silver medal in the men’s shot put, achieving 19.17 metres. Rosilda Dumongul and Fatima Mubarak bagged each a silver medal respectively in the 5000 metre race and the women’s long jump.
