The Director of Babylon Health Directorate, Dr. Haider Al-Birmani, announced that the number of victims of the traffic accident that occurred near the Shomali district, south of Hilla, between a bus carrying Iraqi visitors and another bus carrying Iranian visitors, reached 61 dead and injured.
Bermani said, "The death toll reached five, all of them Iraqis, while the number of wounded reached 56, including 26 Iranian nationals."
He added that some of the wounded were transferred to the Hilla Surgical Hospital for treatment, and that all the wounded are in stable condition.
