Deputizing for Governor of Aseer Region Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor Prince Khalid bin Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz was handed the torch for this year’s Saudi Games, in a ceremony held yesterday at King Khalid University.
The torch is on a promotional tour ahead of this largest sporting event in the Kingdom.
Prince Khalid said he was proud to carry the torch, celebrate its symbolism, and support the athletes participating in the tournament. It arrived in Aseer Region where various prominent cultural and tourist attractions are located.
He said the Saudi Games contributes to promoting sport competitions and displaying the talent of Saudi athletes, and commended the Sport Ministry’s work, which greatly helped Saudi sports advance in recent years.
