Misano: Omani racing driver Al Faisal Al Zubair, alongside his Italian teammate Davide Fumanelli, secured sixth and seventh place overall in the "Pro" category across the two races of the Misano round of the GT World Open Championship, held in Italy.
According to Oman News Agency, the Al Manar Racing by GetSpeed duo qualified fifth and tenth for Races 1 and 2 respectively. They crossed the finish line in a corresponding fifth position in the first race before advancing three places to finish seventh overall and seventh in the "Pro" class, driving the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
The round witnessed the participation of 29 teams across the Pro and Am categories. In the "Pro" class, Al Manar Racing by GetSpeed faced nine competitors, including Mercedes-AMG entries from GetSpeed and Motopark, a Ferrari fielded by AF Corse, a ZR43 Motorsport Ferrari, and a Porsche.
Al Manar Racing by GetSpeed will return to action from Dragon Speed for the French round, hosted at the Circuit Paul Ricard on 17-19 July.
