Agreement Signed in Musandam for Establishing First Stage of Shipbuilding, Maintenance Project

Musandam: Musandam Global Investment company and its Turkish business partners today signed an agreement to establish Musandam Drydock and Marine Industries Company. The agreement marks the launch of a strategic project in Musandam Governorate, with an investment exceeding RO 5 million in its initial phase. The project aims to provide essential services including the construction and maintenance of fish farming cages, coastal and commercial fishing vessels, marine tugs, service vessels, and transport vessels.

According to Oman News Agency, the company intends to address the needs of both the Omani market and neighboring regional markets. The project also aims to enhance industrial integration within the marine and fisheries services sector. Additionally, it seeks to align with national goals of promoting food security and sustainable industrial growth.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Sayyid Ibrahim Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam.
