Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism today signed an agreement with Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) to establish and develop an integrated tourism complex in Al Bustan area, Governorate of Muscat, to the tune of RO 150 million. The 138,000-sqm project is scheduled to be completed in four years.

According to Oman News Agency, the agreement was signed by Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and Eng. Ayad Ali Al Balushi, CEO of Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group). The Minister emphasized the project's significance due to its central location in Muscat Governorate, which will bolster tourism facilities in the area.

The development is designed to be compatible with Muscat's geographical and mountainous nature. A key highlight of the project will be a marina that aims to boost yacht tourism. The project will offer an integrated destination managed by the global operator "Four Seasons" and will include a 200-room world-class hotel, 91 branded luxury freehold residential units, a marina, a yacht club, restaurants, retail outlets, service facilities, and advanced infrastructure tailored to meet the aspirations of visitors and residents.

The signing of the agreement underscores the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism's dedication to enhancing the tourism sector's infrastructure, contributing to in-country value (ICV), and generating employment opportunities for Omani citizens. This initiative aligns with the goals set forth in Oman Vision 2040.
