Aggression on Gaza Criticized as War Crime and Genocide by Palestinian National Council

Gaza: The Palestinian National Council (PNC) has declared that the recent aggression by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip constitutes a war crime and genocide, aimed at advancing a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

According to Oman News Agency, the Chair of the PNC, Rawhi Fattouh, emphasized that these actions are part of an ongoing series of crimes against Palestinians. He accused Israel of targeting children and women as a strategy to evade prosecution for corruption, maintain the rule of its extreme government, safeguard its political future, and fulfill promises to its far-right allies to continue this campaign.

Fattouh described the loss of innocent lives, particularly women and children, as a serious moral failing for humanity and a sign of international inaction in protecting vulnerable populations and enforcing a ceasefire. He urged the global community to take swift action to pressure Israel into stopping this conflict and to fulfill its duty to protect the Palestinian people amidst the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

He also highlighted that the closure of border crossings exacerbates the plight of Palestinians, calling for urgent international intervention to prevent these actions from escalating into a larger plan of erasure against the Palestinian people.
