Muscat: The Advisory Board of the GCC Supreme Council convened its fourth meeting of the twenty-eighth session at its headquarters in Muscat. The board approved the draft agenda and endorsed the draft minutes from the third meeting of the current session.
According to Oman News Agency, the board examined draft reports from assigned committees, selected new topics for study in the upcoming twenty-ninth session, and launched a new website. Three main topics were studied during the twenty-eighth session: unifying Gulf efforts to confront natural disasters, establishing unified Gulf legislative policies for artificial intelligence use, and examining obstacles to service integration among member states.
The recommendations from the current session will be presented at the upcoming GCC leaders’ summit in Bahrain at the end of 2025. These recommendations are expected to be approved and referred to the relevant committees for further action.
