Advanced Training Centre Opened at Al Sumood Camp of SSF

Muscat: General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office, inaugurated the Advanced Training Centre at Al Sumood Camp of the Sultan's Special Force (SSF) today. The opening coincides with the annual day of the Sultan's Special Force, celebrated on March 15 each year.

According to Oman News Agency, the event included a briefing for the Minister about the centre's facilities, roles, and tasks. A practical demonstration showcasing various field exercises within the centre's areas of expertise was also executed.

General Al Nu'amani took the opportunity to honor several senior officers, commissioned officers, and non-commissioned officers of the SSF by awarding them the Excellent Service and Royal Commendation medals. This gesture was in recognition of their dedication and sincere commitment to their national duties.

Maj. Gen Musallam Mohammed Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan's Special Force, also participated in the ceremony by awarding the Special Service Medal and the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to several officers. Additionally, distinguished personnel were honored for their exemplary efforts and contributions in executing their tasks with efficiency and capability.
